I think I'm probably going to have to pick up a bit more RedX and see what it does when it's used for 25% of the grist, 50%, 75%, 100%, etc. The red ale I made was ALL RedX and then some Special B and British Crystal and I was attempting to push "RED" to the limit. When I transferred that beer it was extremely cloudy for some reason so I never got a good feel for the color. Cheers.

This Doppelbock lagered only for 3 weeks when I took this pic. Sorry for the condensation but you get the point.

 

45.2% Red X

45.2% Munich

9.5% CM60

 

I didn't like the color going 50/50 split so I added the CM60. Next time I will reduce the CM60 just a tad. Either way it turned out beautiful.

Friggin beauty. I did pretty much the same ratios with my Red X alt but added some (on hand) cararoma and Simp's dark crystal. Lovely.
