How do I figure out what length of 3/16ID bevseal ultra to use to keep this balanced?

Do you wish you had a 4 way regulator/distributor to adjust individual kegs or no?

Do you have moisture issues in yours?

How do I figure out what length of 3/16ID bevseal ultra to use to keep this balanced? I plan to start with 12 feet and see how that works.  I do run my psi lower than most though because I like a beer slightly under carbonated.

Do you wish you had a 4 way regulator/distributor to adjust individual kegs or no? I had a 4 way secondary regulator and got rid of it for the manifold.  I never really adjusted the regulators and it took up a lot of extra room

Do you have moisture issues in yours?  I do get some condensation in the freezer.  I use damp-rid but I have looked into a small dehumidifier but just have not bought one.

i will let you know how the 12' lines work for me.  I thin Gnef and Matt are running this stuff too.

I use something like this to help with humidity.  It doesn't 100% eliminate it but it helps.

Out of curiosity, in using 12' hose, is this a requirement for the specific run or is it a short run but 12' helps with foam?

I have read of people using over 20' with that hose.  It has very little resistance so a short length will foam, from what I have read.  The distance I need to go 12' does not require me to wrap much in the freezer.  if I had taps right on the freezer it would be a mess of hose in there.

So you keep your taps at a bar or what is your set up like?

I have my keezer in an unfinished part of my basement and there is a wall that my taps are mounted on in a finished room.

So here are the taps and imagine that behind that wall there is a 3 foot gap and then teh freezer.  I made and insulated "box" the hoses go into.

and on the other side of things I just use picnic taps on most of my kegs.

granted, I have a pretty nice SS tower with SS shanks and ventmatic faucets on a dorm fridge for serving 2 of my kegs.  it looks nice for sure.  going back though I probably wouldn't go through the trouble and spend the money to set up something like that again.  it's more of a PITA to clean than picnic taps and as far as I can tell it doesn't make the beer taste any better.  one of the main things it does is look cool for any company that is over.

Cool set up drez, thanks. Is that the top to an old power line with insulators?

Thanks!

It is. My wife got it for me as a present once, being a power engineer it fits me.

I really like the bev-seal ultra line. Easy to clean and does not stain. It is a PITA like drez said to install on barb fittings. But it's doable, I posted a pic below. I would definitely suggest the push-to-connect kind. I think when I did mine there wasn't as big of a selection of them at the time. I added some pics of my system. Basically, looking at the pics the freezer is under the shorter bar area to the left of the taps. I used a 11ft. line for about a 2.5ft. rise up to the taps at 11psi. It pours well but based on your statements it may be over-carbed to your liking, I could have probably went longer. My advice would be to just start longer than you think, you can always cut them. And with push-to-connect fittings it will be easy to modify.

I've used this outfit for various components; regulators, hose, picnic's etc... Never an issue. They're having a sale.

Good info guys. How rigid is that Bevseal ultra? Matt seems to have a lot of room in his keezer but at 12' or more of line per keg this stuff will need to be coiled to get it out of the way. Can it be done well?

it can be coiled easily.  It comes in a coil and you could re-wrap it a bit tighter I imagine and use zip ties to hold it into the shape and just leave the extra on top of the keg.

This.

Do you plan on going the collar with shank route? I could see that being more of a pain with the lines being in the way.

Great then. That's what I was hoping it would do.

What other route is there? I will be serving from the keeper and not from an external bar or wall like you and drez do. At least not anytime soon.
