Back OT...

If the taps are all about the same you could just have a solid bar that can lock down in front of them.  Maybe like a gate that swings down and locks in place?

This is a good idea.  You would want to redesign the tap handles with holes so you could put a small peg attached to the locking bat through it so the handle couldnt be twisted off and then just the faucet used (gnef has the little black plastic handles and forward seals, so removing the handle and just using the tap without a handle would be easy.)

Like 15 years ago.  I still have one of the locks I cracked way back then.

I think this is the algorithm to crack the newer ones.  It seems much more complicated than what I did.

yeah, last one i tried was purchased within the last 10 years.

Hmmmmm, that is an interesting idea. Unfortunately, I have a lot of different taps: original ventmatic, perlick copy (425ss, I believe), a stout faucet, and then a bunch of the perlick perls (525ss, I believe).

I have been thinking about changing out my locks to Mul-T-lock (they are really expensive though), and it would be fairly simple to key it so that my key can unlock a mul-t-lock padlock or two on the walk-in, but my daughter's key would not be able to. They are also significantly more difficult to pick (not impossible, but you have to have some serious skill and know-how with these types of locks, and I don't know if there are bump keys for this type of lock).

If I were to unify my faucets, then I could use the bar idea - probably square stock would be the easiest to work with that wouldn't flex significantly. The thing is that unifying my faucets will be really expensive at this point, and if I were to do that, I'd rather just add more faucets. haha.

Why would you have to unify the faucets? I am talking about putting a bar across the tap handles and locking them back to the wall. Again, you might need to have new handles for that, but the locking mechanism would be pretty straight forward.

The tap handles are not all at the same height (stout faucet), and the forward seal faucets are not all at the same angle. Maybe I'm not thinking of this the same way as you though?

Maybe do a plan B approach. Instead of locking the taps get a webcam

We are looking for ideas for HIM not his daughter.  She will be smart enough to figure this out on her own. :D

So I feel funny crawling up his ass with a microscope on every occasion but it's what has to happen for awhile until we can trust him again.

Beats a sub-dermal GPS implant.

I've actually joked with the wife about the GPS implant.

To me, it actually makes a lot of sense, more for being able to find her if something happens. Being able to track her when she is a teen is just an extra upside to me.

Plus, I figure if we do it now while she is still a toddler, she won't know about it when it may become important... haha.

As to the square liquor cabinet - unfortunately, my scotch collection has grown significantly, and I would need at least 2 of those squares for my current bottles (21 for just scotch), and who know how much I'll have by the time I actually have to be concerned about it.
