So I can just remove the HD from the crap computer and stick it into another and have full access to what's on it? There should be another slot inside to hook it up?
I don't think it's networked.
depends on the HD connectors

Well it's worth a shot I have another tower here and will give it a go.

Well that didn't work, the connections were different.

is the new one SATA and the old one PATA? the second tower mobo likely at least has a PATA connector, you can use the ribbon cable the old tower used and hook it up to the mobo

Yep, you are correct sir. I didn't look hard enough the first time. It is booting up now. Now I'm curious if it will recognize it and work!

No idea, just keeps turning off or locking up. Sometimes I get the blue screen of death.

you want to boot to the regular HD in the PC and navigate to it through explorer

Well this all worked like a charm! The new(er) tower picked up the HD no problem. Opened up promash from there perfectly!

And for the record I have no interest in restoring that old computer, it is over 10 years old. The one I am using now and put the HD in was my old work computer and is OK for the time being. As a bonus it still has Catia and Solidworks on so I can go back to playing around with that.

Ok more computer problems. The "new" tower I moved everything to took a major crap. Long story short I have purchased a brand new laptop and have started fresh with Promash. I had all of my recipes and sessions stored on a external HD so no loss there. But I'm back to the original ingredient databases. Anybody know of some DAT files out there or can send me I can import with some updated ingredients?
