can you compare it to a liquid strain?
I should do a search. It seems someone here compared it to a wit yeast once.

Going to give this a try in a couple of weeks. I think i am doing 10g and splitting it between Belle Saison and Omega Saisonstein's Monster. Figure if I brew it by the end of April it should be ready for when the weather gets nice here.

I might just join you on this. I have everything poised and ready but only have Belle Saison. I'd like to pick out a second yeast... hmmm......

Get on that! I was taking grain inventory this weekend and realized I need to get brewing so some split batches of beers that should age OK will be happening soon.

Will do. This Sunday I was planning to use an old tube of WLP004 Irish in an Amber but rest assured before April is over I'll Motueka a Saison.
Throw me a good suggestion for a second Saison yeast Sir.

I think Label Peelers suggested they'll have some around October. I'm keeping my eyes peeled and will share if I see it.Can someone point me in the direction in locating some fresh Motueka? Cant find any.

That Saisonstein looks pretty cool but the reference to bubble gum turned me away. Anyone with experience with it?My yeast preference would be 3724 but 3711 was very nice in this. Saisonstein's is like a 3724/3711 blend, no? If yes, that will work nicely. Im not near my notes on this but from memory I dont think you'd hurt a thing by bumping up to 50g or more on each of those hop additions. Motueka is not a subtle hop but it is more subtle than most of the US hops we are used to.
