Ken, for $7k you could probably build your own to suit with staged zones for multiple temperatures for storage, fermenting, starters, and what not.

I know. But then it wouldn't be THIS thing. :P I don't think I could ever do that and remain married... hence post #1.

I kind of wonder if there is anyone that builds semi-custom walk-ins.  You could probably get something an order of magnitude better for only a little bit more.

Instead of getting an apartment, just buy some land and put the walk-in on it.  Live INSIDE the walk-in.

Can't you just turn the AC in the house to 35°F until you get all of this worked out?  Then you can kep you beer at serving temp out in the open and use a space heater to heat the lager chamber.  :D
