I made a peanut butter porter over a year ago and kept it. I don't know if the buzz that I have from the wine is influencing my taste buds but its really yummy now. Go figure!!!!

Just had the same experience with my stout. I think roasty beers can often get better with age.

Often the roasted malt particles linger in the beer and can give off astringent flavors and make the beer seem thin. Eventually they settle out and the beer tastes fine. I don't know what peanut butter would do, but it may need some mellowing. Also roasty beers help prevent oxidation, so they generally last longer when treated properly.

Like others have said, i sometimes don't much care for a brew and after 3 months on tap it matures more and i love every drop.
