Sounds nice. I'm taking a Saison from first to second. No brewing unfortunately. But I do have 10 pounds of Kolsch grain seeking some attention.

I brewed a pils last night, kegged a pale ale and racked a pale ale to secondary chill and get gelled. All of this after dinner last night.

I brewed yesterday. Version 1 of what I';m calling an "American Mild". I'm guessing that it will take 3-6 brews to really nail down the recipe.

12 ounces Victory Malt
12 ounces Crystal 80
12 ounces Chocolate
4 ounces Roasted Barley
.85 oz Northern Brewer (60 mins)
1 oz Willamette (15 mins)
1 oz US Goldings (5 mins)
WYeast 1272 American Ale II
OG: 1.057 FG: 1.014 SRM: 26 IBU: 37 ABV: 5.5

If my AC gets installed on Saturday I'll brew the IIPA in the recipe forum on Sunday.

may take a crack at a big stout or porter haven't decided which yet, all I know is big, dark, and heavy, most likely bourbon involved

I have the yeast ready to do a more traditional mild. I only hope now I find time.

Will do. I'm also blogging about it at experimentalbrew.com .
And keep in mind that this is only version one of what I expect to be 3-6 test batches before I settle on a recipe.

Keep us posted on how this goes. I'm very interested. All hop additions in the last 20 min should be interesting.

I did something simialr to a beer I have on tap now. I mash hopped ( ) and then did not add any hops till 10 minutes left in the boil. Came out very nice I feel.

kegged up some pale ale a brewed a couple weeks ago and cleaned out a bunch of kegs but no brewing for me. A little QA testing first thing this morning was fun.
