Just took a look at my brew sessions. This last weekend was my 60th brew in 2 years. I don't have good records before that, but this being my 6th year brewing, I brewed 8 or 9 my first year, 12-13 my second, and at least 25-30 my 3rd and 4th years. So I've brewed 130 - 140 times. I'd say I jumped down a deep rabbit hole. What's more shocking to me is that at least 85% of that was consumed by friends and family.

Cheers to Homebrewing!

This is my worst year in a long time.  I think to date I have maybe done 7-8 batches going from memory.  House projects and little ones are taking all of my time. I do have a smack pack of London ale III ready to give realbeerguys dark mild a go and I have a wet hop beer that should be brewed next week.

As much as I enjoy the final product I enjoy the process that gets there more, recipe building, brewing and building equipment.

I slowed way down when I was working on the book.  Now I'm trying to make up for lost time.  I think I've brewed at least 3 times in the last month.  The American Mild I did 5 days ago was #463 since 1998.

Round 2 is up to 376 since I restarted at the end of '04.  Still have no idea how much I brewed in the early 80s.

I'm making up for lost time during my move ... so I've brewed 3 times since July 15th and planning another soon.

I'm about at your pace. I love the whole process and I love making different beers.

This weekend was the first brew of the year; if you exclude one made at a co-worker's home with three co-workers where we introduced the poor fourth chap into brewing. I only got two bottles of that one.  So we can't call it a productive brew.  Otherwise, we did snare another unsuspecting victim into this addicting hobby.

He went willingly with his wife's approval.  May the Lord have mercy on his soul.

So my FIRST brew of the year.

IronKite my trusty co-brewer who helped slug through this thing.

The newly renamed Fresh Hop Event Horizon Imperial India Amber Rye Ale went without major snags.

I think I need a shorter name

We spent 3 hours picking hops (about 9 lbs total).

Used my new Hop Rocket with Amarillo and Cascade whole leaf (1 oz. each)

John Blichmann rocks! :frank:

Yes, I stole from:

CJ's hop bursting technique.

Old Fart's Rye additions (Thanks OF, wherever you are.  Stuck on some green board I suppose).

Dog Brewery's not to style take on an IPA (more amber than pale) and the grain bill & support of Midnight Home Brewer's League.

Graham Sander's wonderful treatise on sterile water yeast storage.

13 gal of 1.088 primary.

10 gal of 1.056 seconds.

Inoculated with US-05 captured in November and after a week of starter, incredibly active fermentation.

The torture started at 7 AM and we reset my deck back to "normal" about 11 that night. Great weather, We brewed on Sunday, I was zonked on Monday with more clean-up to do.

I love this hobby.

So how's my production you ask?

Too many beers.

Two arms.

Only one mouth.

Limited alcohol tolerance.

Darwin needs to work on this.

20-25 5 gal batches a year, pretty regular.  And, yea, though much is donated or consumed by friends, we keep an IPA, a farmhouse ale and usually something lighter and quaffable around the house most of the time.

I've average about one a month since June 2011 when I caught the bug. Id brew more if I could but friend and family demand is right on point at this speed.

Production has gone up now that I'm doing 10gal. batches. The last couple years have been in the 20-30 5gal batches a year. I imagine my number of batches will go down now but production will still be up.

10 batches in the last month, about 25 for the year. I'll probably brew another 10-15 before the end of the year.  Mostly 5 gallon batches but a few 10 for barrel projects.

Really have slacked this year mainly due to not drinking much. Ive been letting kegs get low then brewing multi batches to catch up. Probably only brewed 4 batches this year, all within 2-3 weeks of each other. I have 4 of 7 kegs with beer in them, 2 of which will blow soon. Got a Czech pils in primary, German pils and Czech IPL on deck with the yeast harvest.

I have had years where I averaged more than one batch a week. 52+ batches in a year. I don't know how many I have in this year but I'll be honest... I like to keep an assembly line of beers in the pipeline at all times. I have seen how little effort it takes for the supply to dwindle if we have people over. My family & friends took out about 6 kegs in 4 days a couple years ago. We regularly have friends & family over especially in the summer (because of the pool) and most people in my family and my wife's family will drink beer. I have 5 nieces & nephews... all in their 20s... who ALL drink beer. At the moment I'm serving from 4 kegs, have 5 cold, carbed kegs in the on-deck fridge, 6 beers in secondary and 3 beers in primary. I will have various people over this weekend because there is a fest in our town that runs from Thursday to Monday (Labor Day) so a good dent will be made in the supply... yet again. Cheers.tl;dr: Production is HIGH.

I have had better production years, although now i'm making better beer

I am on #12 for the year, july was a bust -august was 2 brews. Had plenty of room in the new (coffin size) mash tun- hit my efficiency. Going to hit 200 brews this year. My notes have gone from terrible to outstanding.
