Glass cooktop.
I'd brew in the garage, but there is no water access and I'm not interested in creating an ice rink on my driveway.
I have a glass cooktop and it handles it just fine.

I bought a pot just for the stovetop. The keggle is only for 10 gallon batches.

I've been getting fleeced all year by the local shops, guess it's just gonna hurt a bit more. On the other hand, I recently heard that the costco nearby has bulk agave nectar....

So the skinny is that the crops in Montana, Idaho, and North Dakota are about half harvested, the rest started germinating in the field. Canada is also facing some tough conditions even though they have a bumper crop and may lose some of the malt yield to germination.

Had a roommate in college who grew up on a farm in Montana up on the "high line" (we could go up on the grain silo and look at the mountains in Canada). They were/are barley farmers for Coors. They were some really nice folks. Life on the High Line is a tough life. I'm hoping this doesn't hit the Bahnmiller family too bad this year.

Most of it ends up as cattle feed if it can't be malted. Really depresses the price though.
