My Bitter Galaxy has been wonderful but it is near gone and I need another something quick. Unlike Brauer and others I've never had this beer and can't even get the export version locally. I am basing my recipe off of the "Innkeeper" kit found at Norther Brewer and developed by Kristen England to be like TTL. I'm considering doing 15g Dry Hop with EKG and/or Styrian Goldings. Thoughts?

OG 1.043

SRM 8

IBU 35

97% Fawcett Golden Promise

3% Simpson's Extra Dark Crystal (160L)

45g Fuggles @60

15g East Kent Goldings @165F whirlpool

28g Styrian Goldings @165F whirlpool

Mash @ 153F

WY1469 West Yorkshire

Ca-52, Na-8, SO4-90, Cl-30

Mash pH adjusted with lactic acid to 5.3

Maybe I shouldn't have but I made some changes from the NB recipe. My changes were based on stuff K. England suggested in some forum posts regarding the recipe.

Sorry, should have noted its for 6 gallons post boil.

I am guessing you want the malt weights? As follows...

7.75# Fawcett Golden Promise

0.25# Simpson's Extra Dark Crystal (160L)

Should be fantastic. My version was delicious, but next time I'll use dark crystal, like your's. I got great flavor with just the whirlpool addition, and this is such a flavorful yeast and aromatic yeast, I don't think it needs the dry hop, but I doubt it will hurt. Great yeast!
