the S-04 batch has started up in earnest.  only a little over 24 hours in.  i moved the temp probe over to that fermentor.

 

fyi - the other batch is US-05 and actually the S-04 had an expiration date of this month.  the US-05 was may 2016.

might be some positive pressure on the 05 batch now - too early to tell for sure.

still nothing going on with the airlock of the 05 batch but I cracked the lid and fermenation has definitely commenced.  not sure if my lid seal isn't good or what.  I'm not worrying about it now I guess.  it's in the beer god's hands now.
