A friend and I are driving from Chicago to Cleveland tomorrow to judge a contest on Saturday. The contest is at Fat Head's so we'll be there and probably check out Great Lakes. Any recommendations in the area or on the way?

Strongsville, OHCornerstone Brewing-58 Front St. Berea, OHBuckeye Beer Engine- 15315 Madison Ave Lakewood, OHThanks for the suggestions but Bell's is too far out of the way and 3F's is close enough to go for lunch but I'm not waiting 2 hours to get into the place.
My bro does this. I don't blame you, that kind of wait is not for me either.

So...
Evil Czech -really nice burger/fries. Had a 5 beer sampler, some descent beers but hoppy beers were so firmly bitter as to detract from the hop flavor.
Iechyd Da- I was excited to try the English session ales here but they need fermentation temp control. English style beers were solventy, not pleasant. I had a 10 beer sampler and didn't finish any of them. On the good side was 4 ounces pours for a buck.
Fat Heads- fantastic IPA and Double IPA and good Baltic Porter. Definitely would go back.
The Brew Kettle- okay IPA.
Son of Brewzilla was a nicely run competition. They could have used a few more judges as flights were big but not overwhelming. Great group of guys. I got to judge the BOS being a National judge and having no entries in the comp. Really solid beers on the BOS table. I would judge again.
