Hi All, my brew day plans fell through and my next chance is at least 3 weeks out. So I doubt I'll brew what was intended and am wondering what I can do with som English dark crystal ~ 160L I've hearm great things. I have that, caraaroma, G promise and 2 row. Plenty of each for a big beer, but I'd rather keep it around or under 1.060 and nothing English. All types of hops on hand: Citra, mosaic, amar, Moteuka and plenty more. So what would you suggesr?

I brewed a red rye IPL that everyone has raved about with Caraaroma. The dark crystal could easily sub in for it and clean ale yeast if you don't want lager yeast.httpss://www.brewtoad.com/recipes/red-rye-ipl

I used caraaroma with the rye, amber and whirlpool hopping to make a resiny, sticky, beer. The amber was to give it a dry toastiness, the rye and dark crystal to make it chewy so the hop resin stuck to your mouth.

Why won't you brew what was intended? I'm assuming something similar to Tater Ridge. I just used that very same English dark crystal in a sweet potato beer last weekend. Your thread inspired me.

Also depends on what yeast you have on hand.
