For me any temp that would mess up the attenuation of the style I'm brewing. Other than that I can't see much attenuation above 160*

Pretty much my thought too I was just curious if he had any specifics on it.  The way mine works is if I have my controller set to 152  it will go to 151 before it comes on and shut off at 153.  I take that into consideration when I pick a mash temp.

Drez,

Where did you get your parts for your RIMS and what was the cost on it?

I do not remember the cost, I want to say all the SS was under 60 at the time.  I got it here but it looks like they have changed things since I bought my stuff.  Now you have to have an account.

Yea, most likely will. Thats cheaper than building one from Brewershardware.

I'm still debating re-configuring the one I have now going from a double to a single. There are some things I dont like about it tho.

but I got them from Brew and Grow, Chicago. Same price but I had a 15% coupon.

By the time I outfitted this one I can get the one Matt linked to for cheaper and free shipping.

I still have that double element RIMS I'm considering  modding into a single. What I don't like about it is that its big and will be a lot of mash wort to fill.

I already had a tri clamp thermowell and all my fittings are triclamp. All I had to do was buy a $10 element/$7 chord and start brewing.

But it looked so sweet.

It is sweet. Would be even sweeter if the 4bll brewery it was intended for materialized.
