I recirc so it's very clear after ~10 minutes. No issues with chunks at all.
You're wasting your time. Very clear really isn't necessary.
This brings up a question. Do refractometers require clear wort?

They are much easier to read with no chunks. It doesn't need to be Ken crystal, just no chunksNope.

I don't recirc so I can use my refractometer. It's a HERMS, part of the process.
