Anyone use it and have some feedback on it? I am thinking of using some to make a basic coffee ale. Something light brown in color, minimal hop flavor with a nice fresh coffee flavor. I will probably use some coffee beans in secondary but wanted to use this malt to start.

I have not used and I have been curious about it and the MFB Kiln Coffee malt and how much coffee-like flavor they bring. I have, however used, Briess Light Roasted Barley. I used it at a rate of 6oz in a 6gallon batch of Irish Red. It gave me a light flavor not that was pretty distinctively coffee-like to me. It wasn't until after I used it that I noticed it was a lighter roasted barley known to give a roasted coffee-like note when used. I am using it again in an upcoming coffee stout to help integrate some actual coffee that will be added in secondary. Thatsalligot.

I've used a coffee malt before - I'm not sure what brand.  It does have some coffee like qualities and some chocolate like qualities.  it's a nice malt.

So I'm thinking something simple like 88% 2-row and 12% coffee malt. Need to decide on the hops yet. And what yeast, probably some dry.
