At the very least it would allow for some neat color experiments. Some how with those estimated percentages I envision a pink ale. And that would remind me of a beer I had from 2nd Shift that had hibiscus in it for both flavor and color. Brilliant.

B: What was your percentage of Canada Pale Malt to RedX? I'm thinking like 7 lbs Rahr Pale Ale with 2-3 lbs RedX... something in that area.Brother Poptop: I'm not sure that it will be PINK but a pale red-amber is probably reasonable. This way, I could also slightly supplement my sack of Rahr Pale Ale malt and squeeze an extrabatch or two out of it.EDIT: Okay, over HERE (Page 6) I see that your IPA was 16.5% RedX and it still has quite a bit of color to it. Interesting. I'm thinking maybe I should bring it into the 10-15% range for a similar but more pale color.Look at my Red X IpA in the other thread and you will get a idea of a two grain grist looks like using Canada Pale Malt.
