Hi All, with much sadness I have empty kegs and keezer space.  Until I can get another batch kegged I was thinking about just filling one with water and carbing.  Does anyone do this and if so, do you add only water or some other fun ingredients?  We are not soda drinkers so nothing syrupy etc...  Thoughts?  Suggestions?  Opinions?  Jeers?  Guffaws???

Thanks and have a great weekend,

Mike

I have not done it, thought about it though.  I seem to remember someone here doing int and complaining of a metallic taste.  It was thought to be from the water chemistry.  I think it is worth a shot.  Maybe add some lemons or something in there for a touch of flavor?

I've seen some recipes for mineral water floating around. I've meant to try it, but haven't got around to it.

I was thinking a little lime or lemon.  Also thinking some herbal tea... Celestial etc... Mild, very very mild.  Something that might go well with.... say...... Stoli....  hmmmm.....

Seems the lime or lemon hides the metallic or rather carbonic flavor.

That's not a bad idea at all.

My kids keep asking me to put carbonated lemonade on one of my taps. Ugh. I don't really want to fill one of my kegs with lemonade and I don't know how long it would take to carb it either. I'm sure I can keep kicking the can down the road and maybe if I wait until their all 21, they'll just drink the beer instead. :P
