Looking ahead Id like to build a TC manifold and piping to connect 2 pumps, 3 vessels, and my RIMS. I found a 1.5" TC 5 way manifold for around $150ish in a pro book. But for our application that size tubing is way to big. I think a 1" TC x 1/2" tubing would work great. Has anyone used TC piping in their brewery that could point me the way?

I use a combination of 1" TC 3-way ball valves from Brewers Hardware and 1/2" tubing on my 1 bbl system.  I've changed it around a bit since this picture, but here is how mine started out:

The TC T hung off the mash tun, and is now 1" instead of the 1.5" you see in the pic.  The pump on the right recirculates the mash, then when time to sparge I rotate the valve 180* which sends the sparge water to the mash tun through the recirc port at the top of the MT.  Then the pump on the left sends the runnings to the BK.  I have a BCS-462 which takes care of running the pumps and burners, so all I have to do is manage the flow rates via the BK inlet and the MT return inlet.  I don't have to do any hose changes now, which I love.

I've been slowly swapping out the thermoplastic tubing to 1" TC extension tubes where I can and the valves are in a different location now (same principle though), but I used it in this config for a long time and it worked well.

IIRC, 1" & 1.5" flange dimensions are the same.  You could go with the 1.5" if the price is right.

BTW, I bought tri-clamps on Ebay for 1/2 the price of Brewers Hdwe.  They came from China, and the order was shipped prepaid.  Got almost $800 of fittings & valves for ~$450

The outside flange is the same but you can go to a smaller pipe.

Thanks Brian and RBG, I will keep an eye out.
