I'm not sure I follow you - what do hops have to do with bru n water?  do you mean the profile suggestion thing that is "bitter amber", "balanced amber", etc.?

I've read BDA's question a dozen times and I think he broke my brain. In the water tab there is a water profile listing of 'famous waters' plus generic profiles which is in the upper left of the screen. Otherwise I'm not sure I understand. Maybe he's trolling like, When do you boil the yeast? or something like that. :D

I figured he was thinking maybe the drop down should have the IBUs of the style of beer the water profile was for. I pulled down the menu and it has "munich, London, yellow bitter, etc"

yes

I'm not sure it's really defined.  it's kind of up to you as to if you are looking to emphasize bitter or balanced or malty.
