2013 varieties if that matters to anyone. Plus you get 1# free organic Hallertau if you buy 2#'s.

What is the consensus on year old leaf hops? Do you guys avoid them? Supposedly storage on leaf is not as good as pellets. I dunno as personally I have not used any leaf ever but I would not hesitate one bit to use or buy year old pellets.

Depends on how they were stored. Cold and sealed no problem. Open and cold maybe. Open and warm not me.

Does anyone here actually store their hops warm and/or open. Seems like you'd have to be a rube to do that and I don't think we have anyone like that here.
But the line of thought I have read (maybe here, maybe in For the Love of Hops or Steele's IPA …I really don't remember) is that leaf will taste fresher than pellets but only for the first few months of storage and after that their character steadily declines. Is this familiar to anyone else?

I have in the past. But I was purposely aging them for sour beers.

LOL, just teasing man. It was surprising such an open invitation for comment went uncommented.

not sure I get the point of this sale now that I look it over. who wants to buy 3lbs of one variety that is last years crop? the savings isn't nearly substantial enough for me to consider it.
