Just got off the phone with my son drewseslu.  It took a little figuring and tomorrow is the 10th anniversary for me of returning to homebrewing after a 20 year break and also Drew's first brew.  Simple extract batch.  Still remember - 4 hours from leaving the house to buy ingredients, a stop at the hardware store for copper tubing to build an IC and we were done.  It was like riding a bike.  Turned out nice as I recall.  The then little fart went back to STL and started brewing AG never having seen it done.

Brewed a Brett Brux (and whatever Trois turns out to be) fermented DIPA w/ Mosaic, Calypso, Rakau & Sorachi Ace, Maris Otter, Honey Malt, Wheat malt. Between a questionable cell count and dodgy temperature situations in the garage, the fermentation stalled, but I had a slurry of WL029 that seems to be taking to it like a fish to water so far. The aroma and flavor are already exotic and wonderful.

Time for an experimental dark mild tomorrow.
