Ah, thanks. I will stock up on that yeast next time it is out. Obviously it will survive a year and a half in storage and still wake up just fine. Good luck with your weekend brew.sorry for my miss use of the term. I just hate the term keezer. It is the freezer with a temp control for my kegs. Set to 40 so the yeast did not freeze. You can freeze yeast for storage but that is a whole different topic

Thanks! I was surprised it took off as well as it did. I am going to save part of the starter for future use. I have not used this yeast in a while but remember liking it.

Pretty sure you do rising temp fermentaions like I do. However, I remember smelling a good bit of diacetyl (didnt know what it was at the time) from that yeast that cleared with the rising temp schedule and time. Just an FYI.Thanks! I do follow a rising schedule and tend to leave it at 70-71 for a couple of days. Thanks for the reminder though.
