These things. To you guys use these in every metal to metal flare situation? I have always done SS to SS. But what about SS to brass or SS to AL? I'm putting together a CO2 system for my cold crash/on-deck freezer and was just curious. The part I hate about them is they tend to compress and expand down inside the swivel end thus now longer making it a swivel end.

I've used these om my keg connections without issue. Especially if you are using dissimilar metals/plastics, they can give a good soft seal. The main advantage of using a flare, is that it will/should seat without a washer, especially at higher pressures. The plastic will give you some insurance.

Yeah exactly and that's what I'll be doing. Putting SS swivels onto brass and AL fittings. I guess what I was wondering since it is a harded metal going up against two softer ones, would it dig into it enough to not require a washer? Those suck. Only time I use them is when I'm not using connectors that don't have seals already on them.

Any potential for galvanic corrosion?

Sure when mixing metals. I've done SS>Brass and never had this happen as of yet. Yet meaning years.
