These things. To you guys use these in every metal to metal flare situation? I have always done SS to SS. But what about SS to brass or SS to AL? I'm putting together a CO2 system for my cold crash/on-deck freezer and was just curious. The part I hate about them is they tend to compress and expand down inside the swivel end thus now longer making it a swivel end.

I've used these om my keg connections without issue.  Especially if you are using dissimilar metals/plastics, they can give a good soft seal.  The main advantage of using a flare, is that it will/should seat without a washer, especially at higher pressures.  The plastic will give you some insurance.

Those suck. Only time I use them is when I'm not using connectors that don't have seals already on them.

Yeah exactly and that's what I'll be doing. Putting SS swivels onto brass and AL fittings. I guess what I was wondering since it is a harded metal going up against two softer ones, would it dig into it enough to not require a washer?

I'd give it a try. I'd think the softer metal would be a advantage.

Any potential for galvanic corrosion?

Sure when mixing metals. I've done SS>Brass and never had this happen as of yet. Yet meaning years.
