Love the Founders Red Rye when I can get it.

Their website site says four varieties of Belgian caramel malts a heavy dose of Rye and Amarillo. I don't have any Belgian Caramels. I do have some CaraMunich 40, 80, Cara Red, RedX, and Munich.

So I'm thinking something like this...

1.060

15 SRM

6.6% ABV

70 IBU

66%-Pale Malt

16%-Rye

10%-CM80

8%-CM40

Its at 18% total Caramel so I should still get some attenuation. Hoping to finish at 1.010.

Thoughts...

You like the MFB caramel malts (your CaraMunich) right? Belgian enough, no? All Amarillo? Should be nice. Ive never used that much C80 in a beer so its hard for me to get a grasp on how it will come through but otherwise looks tasty.

I use a lot of MFB Caramels. I do like them.

As far as the amount of CM80 it is 10% (2.5# in 11.5g batch) but the color is only 15 SRM.

I've finally learned I don't care for all Amarillo in anything.

I really like even as the sole hop.  But blended with Citra or Simcoe and
