Looking good. Hopefully you won't need to mount the heat sink outside of the box.

If it gets to hot I'll install a fan and some vent holes.

So I've decided to make an attachment point on the back of my panel for the temp probe.  I'm doing this for ease of maintenance and use. Now in my job signal integrity is very important and with the route the probe wires will take inside the box I've decided to use shielded wire on the inside.  At first I thought I had a bunch of shielded twisted pair but it turns out it was just shielded single wire, no big deal Ill make do.  Put the small 3 position terminal board on the back,  installed a ground lug for the shield and ran the wire through the back of the box. this is how it looked last night when I finished up.

Mine has 3 SSR's, all with heatsinks in the panel and I have zero overheating issues.

Out of curiosity what was the wooden box in its previous life?

The box was made in 1971 and has been used as a document holder in our shop for the past 18 years.

I had scrounged all the switches and LED´s needed but after talking with the wife she said to get matching stuff so it would look better. So I have two lighted rocker switches, one toggle switch, and four LED's On order.I did end up getting the o-rings I needed for my temp probe and a bit to make the hole in my pot for the element at Lowe's today.I hope to have it all done by the end of the work week and ready to do a test run this weekend.

This is just a small 2 to 3 gallon test rig which will be using a 110V 2000 Watt element. The panel is made to easily convert to 240V.
