I was in Burlington in 2008 and went to Vermont Pub and Brewery and also American Flatbread. AF's beer was very good and they happened to be having an Oktoberfest celebration when we were there. But their food is outrageously good. We were going to do the Magic Hat tour but ran out of time. We drove south to where we sere staying and biking (Bridgewater Corners) and Long Trail Brewing Company was right across the street. They had some very good beer there too. I thought that VT had a great beer culture and I was lucky enough to sit down and drink beer with Greg Noonan!
